EU Legislative Interests

CRA's primary covered activities involve conducting research, writing white papers, and generally supporting clients in their efforts to inform markets, industry groups, and public policy on matters pertaining to healthcare and pharmaceuticals, energy and climate, and competition. • General pharmaceutical legislation: The proposal adopted by the Commission revises and replaces the existing general pharmaceutical legislation (Regulation 726/2004 and Directive 2001/83/EC) and the legislation on medicines for children and for rare diseases (Regulation 1901/2006 and Regulation 141/2000/EC, respectively). • Europe's Beating Cancer Plan: Communication from the commission to the European Parliament and the Council • HERA: The procurement and stockpiling of medical countermeasures (MCMs) is one of the core areas of work within HERA's mandate. By acquiring stocks of critical medical items such as medicines, vaccines, and personal protective equipment through different procurement mechanisms, including by acting as a central purchasing body for Member States, the Commission works to ensure that the EU maintains a high level of preparedness for future cross-border health threats. • Addressing the fragmentation of care in Rett Syndrome in Europe
