Mission & Goals

Copper Lavender AB develops and commercialises a modular electrochemical platform that converts (captured) CO2 with renewable electricity into fossil‑free acetylene and its hydrocarbon molecule derivatives. Our objective is to defossilise and circularise the European chemicals industry by using CO2 as a renewable carbon feedstock for strategic value chains such as industrial gases, polymers, coatings, pharmaceuticals and fragrance ingredients, considering that 88% of all products we use contain hydrocarbon molecules, today mainly derived from fossil sources AND imported into EUrope for 92%). We represent our own interests as an innovative SME in EU policy discussions on the energy and raw‑materials transition, industrial defossilisation, CO2 utilisation (CCU), EUropean industry independence, and the implementation of the European Chemicals Industry Action Plan.

EU Legislative Interests

European Chemicals Industry Action Plan, including the Critical Chemicals Alliance and related measures on critical molecules, resilience and clean chemicals. EU Green Deal / Clean Industrial Deal policies on industrial decarbonisation, affordable energy and support for energy‑intensive industries, including Net‑Zero Industry Act and Industrial Decarbonisation Accelerator. EU framework for carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS), including ETS rules for CCU, carbon removal certification and recognition of CO2‑based chemicals as climate solutions. EU chemicals acquis (REACH, CLP and simplification package / 6th Omnibus) where it affects deployment of novel low‑carbon / fossil-free platform chemicals such as fossil‑free acetylene and its hydrocarbon molecule derivatives.

Communication Activities

Copper Lavender communicates actively on EU industrial decarbonisation and CCU policy through: participation in EU‑focused conferences and cluster events on green chemicals and industrial carbon management; expert contributions in panel discussions and workshops on CO2‑based feedstocks and power‑to‑chemicals; publication of articles, white papers and online content explaining the role of fossil‑free acetylene in defossilising chemical value chains; and regular exchanges with innovation clusters, accelerators and EU‑funded initiatives working on CCUS, clean industrial technologies and implementation of the European Chemicals Industry Action Plan.
