Mission & Goals
Coordination Europe Haïti (CoEH) is a network of development and international solidarity organisations and platforms in Europe. Since 2004, CoEH has played an active role in putting Haiti on Europe's agenda. As an intermediary between civil society organisations (CSOs) in Haiti, representatives of the European institutions (in particular the Commission and Parliament), the governments of EU member states and the European public in general, we are a dynamic network and work with a wide range of Haitian civil society organisations and leaders. We facilitate dialogue and share the experiences of these organisations through our contacts in the EU institutions.
EU Legislative Interests
Cooperation partner RNDDH (National Network for the Defense of Human Rights) is invited as speaker to the European Parliament's subcommittee on Human Rights (DROI) for the "Exchange of views on the human rights situation in Haiti, notably in relation to migration " Date and time: 18 March 2024, from 16:00 to 17:00 Location: European Parliament building in Brussels and Webstreaming
Communication Activities
The CoEH fulfills its commitment to advocating for Haiti by actively engaging with EU institutions and influencing EU policies. We regularly publish advocacy letters, articles and policy briefs addressing the urgent needs and challenges Haiti faces. Our efforts include organizing events specifically targeting the European public and EU institutions, aiming to raise awareness and drive action on EU policies related to Haiti. Through these activities, we seek to shape a more just, supportive and sustainable European approach to Haiti’s socio-political challenges.
