Mission & Goals
Coopération Bancaire pour l’Europe – GEIE (CBE-GEIE) is a Brussels-based European Economic Interest Grouping founded in 1992. Its purpose is to act as a dedicated EU office for its members by facilitating an effective link with the European Union and by providing information, monitoring, advisory support, training and practical assistance on EU policies, programmes and funding opportunities. CBE-GEIE also supports the clients and stakeholders of its members, where relevant, through awareness-raising activities, events, guidance on EU opportunities, assistance in identifying and understanding calls for proposals, and support for the preparation and implementation of European projects. In line with its statutory mission, CBE-GEIE also develops partnerships and participates in EU-funded projects where this creates value for its members and their territories.
EU Legislative Interests
CBE-GEIE mainly follows and engages with EU policies, programmes and initiatives relevant to its members and their stakeholders, in particular where these are connected with European funding opportunities, innovation, competitiveness, training, territorial development and access to EU information. The main EU legislative or policy frameworks currently concerned include: – Erasmus+ Programme 2021–2027 and related annual work programmes and calls for proposals; – Horizon Europe 2021–2027 and related strategic planning, work programmes and calls for proposals; – Digital Europe Programme 2025–2027 work programme and related calls for proposals; – Single Market Programme and EU measures supporting SMEs, entrepreneurship and competitiveness; – Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme, including the Town Twinning and civic participation strands; – LIFE Programme and broader EU policy initiatives linked to sustainability, energy transition and climate-related opportunities; – EU cohesion policy and related funding frameworks affecting regional and local development opportunities; – EU initiatives on digital transition, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, advanced digital skills and innovation uptake, where relevant to members and their clients; – EU sustainable finance, financial literacy and financial services-related initiatives of practical relevance to CBE-GEIE members and their ecosystems; – EU public procurement and internationalisation-related policy initiatives, where relevant to members, their clients and project partnerships.
Communication Activities
CBE-GEIE carries out communication and interest-representation-related activities connected with the above EU policies and initiatives mainly through monitoring, information-sharing, awareness-raising and institutional participation. These activities include: – publication of Alerts, newsletters, guides, manuals and thematic briefings for members and, where relevant, their clients; – organisation of webinars, events, training sessions, advisory meetings and territorial initiatives linked to EU opportunities and policy developments; – participation in information sessions, stakeholder events, public conferences, project meetings and dissemination activities organised by or involving EU institutions and EU-level actors; – development of contacts and exchanges with EU-level stakeholders, networks and project partners on matters related to EU programmes, initiatives and opportunities; – communication and dissemination activities linked to European projects in which CBE-GEIE participates as partner; – support to members in understanding relevant EU initiatives and identifying opportunities of strategic or operational interest.

Member Of
CBE-GEIE is currently a member of EBN (European Business and Innovation Centre Network), D-Learn (European Digital Learning Network) and Let Her In International Network. CBE-GEIE also takes part, where relevant, in European networking, project and dissemination activities connected with its statutory mission and operational fields. Additional Information
EU grants are declared on the basis of amounts received during the relevant financial year and contributing to the organisation’s operating activities. The figures indicated for the most recent closed financial year and for the current financial year therefore reflect the cash amounts received in each respective year in connection with EU-funded projects. No intermediaries were used to carry out activities covered by the Register on behalf of the organisation. The estimated annual costs declared relate only to activities falling within the scope of the Register and are calculated as a proportion of relevant staff, office and administrative costs.
