Mission & Goals
Founded in 1871, Continental is a leading tire manufacturer and industry specialist serving automotive, industrial and end customers worldwide. The company employs approximately 95,000 people across 54 countries and markets and operates globally through its two business areas Tires and ContiTech. The Tires business area focuses on the development, production and distribution of tires for passenger cars, trucks, buses, two-wheel vehicles and specialty applications, as well as related services and digital solutions such as tire monitoring and tire management systems for dealers and fleet operators. These activities address mobility-related requirements including safety, efficiency and sustainability. ContiTech operates as an industrial business area focused on the development and manufacture of components, systems and solutions made from rubber, plastics, metal, textile and electronic materials for customers in industrial and automotive-related sectors.
