EU Legislative Interests
Data Governance Act (DGA): Promotes the availability of data for use by regulating data intermediaries and fostering data sharing for altruistic purposes, complementing the GDPR. Data Act: In application as of September 2025, this law ensures fair access to data generated by connected devices (IoT), allowing consumers and businesses to switch cloud providers and preventing unfair contractual terms. Digital Services Act (DSA) & Digital Markets Act (DMA): The DSA sets rules for online platforms to protect user rights, while the DMA targets "gatekeeper" platforms to ensure fair competition and prevent monopolistic behavior. European Digital Identity (EUDI) Regulation: Enables secure, user-controlled digital identity wallets for accessing public and private services across the EU. Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act): Positions the EU to regulate AI development in accordance with European rights and values
