TOP-IX (acronimo per TOrino Piemonte - Internet eXchange) è un consorzio senza fini di lucro costituito nel 2002 con lo scopo di creare e gestire un NAP (Neutral Access Point) per lo scambio del traffico Internet nell'area del Nord Ovest d'Italia. TOP-IX (acronym for TORino Piemonte - Internet eXchange) is a non-profit consortium established in 2002 with the aim of creating and managing a NAP (Neutral Access Point) for the exchange of Internet traffic in the North West area of Italy.

TOP-IX è cofondatore e fa parte del progetto FULCRUM PROJECT FOR A UNIVERSAL CLOUD FEDERATION: https://www.fulcrumproject.org. In questo ruolo, TOP-IX si propone di interloquire con le istituzioni europee in merito all'attuale configurazione del mercato europeo del cloud, oltre che del concetto e dei vantaggi dei modelli di cloud federato, ad esempio in occasione dell'evento DISCOVER THE DIGITAL WORLD, organizzato dall'European Internet Forum: https://www.internetforum.eu/organising-committees/141-oc-stronger-together-federating-europe-s-digital-infrastructure.html TOP-IX is co-funder and part of the Fulcrum Project for a Universal Cloud Federation: https://www.fulcrumproject.org. In this role, TOP-IX aims to talk to the European institutions about the current state of the European cloud market and the concept and benefits of federated cloud models, for example on the event DISCOVER THE DIGITAL WORLD by the European Internet Forum: https://www.internetforum.eu/organising-committees/141-oc-stronger-together-federating-europe-s-digital-infrastructure.html
