Mission & Goals
CONAI è un Consorzio privato costituito senza fini di lucro dalle imprese produttrici di imballaggi diverse da quelle che abbiano adottato un sistema autonomo di gestione o di restituzione ai sensi dell'art. 221, comma 3, lett. a) e c) del dlgs.152/2006 con riferimento a tutte le tipologie di imballaggi da esse prodotti, nonché dalle imprese utilizzatrici di imballaggi. CONAI è costituito allo scopo di raggiungere gli obiettivi globali di recupero e di riciclo dei rifiuti di imballaggio indicati nell'Allegato E dello stesso d.lgs 152/2006, nonché di garantire il necessario raccordo con l'attività di raccolta differenziata dei rifiuti su superficie pubblica effettuata dalle Pubbliche Amministrazioni. Il decreto legislativo del 3 aprile 2006, n. 152 "Norme in materia ambientale", recepisce anche la Direttiva 94/62/CE, sugli imballaggi e i rifiuti di imballaggi e le sue successive modificazioni.
