Mission & Goals

CEJA, the European Council of Young Farmers, is a non-profit organisation whose mission is to carry the voice of Europe’s next generation of farmers. The organisation represents young people willing to become or already farmers. Its membership is composed of 33 national organisations of young farmers from 22 EU Member States and 2 non-EU countries (Serbia, United Kingdom). CEJA has a history and experience of 67 years before the European institutions. CEJA’s primary aim is to promote a younger, more innovative and sustainable agricultural sector by empowering young people in agriculture, encouraging them to take charge of their own lives, and fostering their participation in the EU and national democratic life.
