EU Legislative Interests

All items related to the intergenerational initiatives from the EU institutions (Parliament / Commission ( EESC / CdR): We work closely with other European initiatives to foster intergenerational mentoring environments, in which senior expert volunteers work in an intergenerational mentoring environment with young people or SMEs. This work aims to counteract the marginalisation and social exclusion, and favour active inclusion into the labour market, and consequently into society, ultimately strengthening cooperation between the world of education and training and the world of work. To this end, CESES in particular is interested to advocate senior expert volunteering and to bring this important societal aspect into EU legislation, Directives, Regulations, White Papers etc. Consequently we are looking for EU initiatives and opportunities in the area of education and culture, international partnership and societal participation.

Communication Activities

CESES has a website informing about its objectives, initiatives, activities and providing examples of best practice. CESES regularly publishes Newsletters informing about EU actions and relevant subjects for CESES’ member organisations. In addition we organize workshops, conferences, seminars for CESES’ members as well as for the general public. To the extent possible and taking into account the sanitary restrictions CESES holds personal contacts representatives of all EU institutions. These direct contacts can take different forms, from exchange of mails to personal meetings.
