Mission & Goals

COREIS – Islamic Religious Community of Italy is a nationally recognized religious body based in Milan, representing a community of Italian Muslims committed to an Islam rooted in Italian culture, respectful of the Constitution, and open to dialogue. Its main aims include safeguarding the religious and spiritual needs of believers, promoting an accurate understanding of Islam, and collaborating with civil and religious institutions. COREIS carries out training programs for teachers and social professionals, educational activities on Islamic civilization, courses for imams, and cultural and academic initiatives. It is active in interreligious dialogue with the Catholic Church, the Jewish Community, and international organizations. It manages the al-Wahid mosque in Milan and participates in institutional forums on Islam in Italy, contributing to the prevention of radicalization and discrimination.
