Mission & Goals
Atanasovski DOO, a company founded in 2007, is a well-known Macedonian fresh and cured meat producer with a well-established retail chain of its own and partner butcher shops. Production is currently carried out on rented premises, which is a significant spatial and operational limitation, and it has a production capacity of 500 to 600 animals per week. The main aim of the company is to open its own slaughterhouse and processing plant in order to achieve vertical integration, improved quality control, and greater capacity of production for the local and international markets. The strategic investment will enable the company to become more efficient, reduce its dependence on third parties, and provide the highest quality products. With the new factory and the full exploitation of this scheme, the output will double to 1000-1200 animals a week in the first year, adding about 50 new jobs with local economic stimulus through cooperation with local manufacturers and suppliers.
EU Legislative Interests
The purpose of registration in the EU Transparency Register is participation in EU activities for regional development and economic growth in the Western Balkans, with a particular focus on sustainable food production and processing in North Macedonia. Atanasovski Company and the proposed project are aligned with several strategic priorities and primary frameworks of the EU through the planned use of renewable energy solutions (photovoltaic systems) as well as environmentally friendly production processes. Other than that, the focus is entirely on developing a sustainable food production system with improved animal welfare criteria and improved food safety measures in accordance with HACCP and ISO standards and the inclusion of wastewater treatment plants and partial reuse of manure from animals. The project is a valuable contribution to North Macedonia's economic development in accordance with the EU's values and standards.
