Mission & Goals
Le Comité national contre le tabagisme est une association française d’intérêt général dont la mission est de prévenir le tabagisme et de lutter contre la consommation de tabac et de produits à base de nicotine ainsi que contre leurs conséquences sanitaires, sociales, économiques et environnementales. Le CNCT conduit des actions de sensibilisation et de prévention, réalise des études et des observatoires sur les pratiques commerciales de l’industrie du tabac et de la nicotine, et intervient auprès des pouvoirs publics afin de promouvoir des politiques de santé publique fondées sur les données scientifiques et les recommandations internationales, notamment celles de l’OMS et de la Convention-cadre pour la lutte antitabac. L’association agit seule ou en partenariat avec des organisations nationales et européennes et contribue à l’élaboration et à l’évaluation des réglementations visant à réduire l’attractivité, l’accessibilité et l’exposition aux produits concernés.

Communication Activities
We have submitted several position papers to the European Commission and Members of the European Parliament addressing a range of tobacco control priorities, including the regulation of tobacco and emerging nicotine products, taxation, environmental impacts, and broader public health policy considerations.
