Mission & Goals
CECOD is a non profitable (French 1901 law) trade association. It is the Committee of European Manufacturers of Measuring and Distribution Equipment for Mobility, a non-profit association, providing facilities for its members to share technical information related to mobility energy measuring and dispensing technologies and processes. CECOD members work closely with European Member States and Authorities in all relevant matters in support of its commitment to promote the unification of European Legal Metrology, Safety and Environmental legislation together with its subsequent enforcement. Additional: CECOD is involved in OIML work at global level, and is carefully keeping track of relevant ISO standards work. At national level, CECOD tries to participate to any National work
EU Legislative Interests
Our association is interested in all directives and regulations involved in the design and manufacture of fuel (and energy for mobility) measuring systems including Machinery, ATEX, MID, Low Voltage, EMC, RoHS, Ecodesign plus other specific operation directives including VR2 (2014/99) and 1999/92/EC (ATEX for workplaces) We are also interested in distribution and delivery of other forms of energy for mobility (boats, trucks, trains, aircraft) such as hydrogen, natural gas, electricity and carbon neutral fuels.
Communication Activities
Goal of our association is to share technical knowledge allowing harmonized implementation of directives, regulations, and standards. Amongst our goals, safety of the public is of key importance. CECOD cooperates with OIML, WELMEC and CEN/CENELEC/ETSI as well as supporting national standards and industry committees via CECOD members We attend wgMID, and attended wgATEX when it was active

Additional Information
Budget of CECOD is based on member's fees (2000 euros per member with 25 to 30 members) and a few sales of time slots to members during specific business trade show.
