Mission & Goals

COLPOFER is the association of railway security managers and railway/transport police forces. Its mission is to ensure protection of people, premises, trains and information within the railway system through a strong cooperation between railway police forces and railway companies security organisations. This includes: - the exchange of information and shared experiences between members in the fight against criminal activities within the railway environment; - the definition of a common railway security strategy; - the development of guidelines aimed at improving the security level within the railway environment and the public perception of security (customers, railway staff, contractors and suppliers). The activities within the association are conducted through an operational collaboration based on internal communication between members on security issues which need to be resolved quickly and without formalities and an external collaboration with other organisations.
