Mission & Goals

The Property, Mercantile and Movable Property Registrar is the person in charge of the Register and exercises his function as a professional, in a completely independent manner. In Spain there are three types of registers: -The Land Registry is the maximum and only protection for whoever has acquired a property as it is presumed to be certain unless a judicial proceeding declares otherwise. -The purpose of the Register of Movable Property is to publicise ownership and the charges and encumbrances on movable property, as well as the general terms and conditions of the contract. -The Business Register serves to provide security for commercial transactions by publishing the legal and financial data of the companies and other persons entered in it and who their representatives are. There are currently 1.100 active registrars in Spain.
