Mission & Goals
Our mission is to help the EU lead the race to net zero by putting innovation at the center of the public policy debate, and building bridges between the EU’s cleantech community and policymakers.
EU Legislative Interests
European Green Deal, Fit for 55, CBAM, EU ETS, Sustainable Finance, Listing Requirements, Taxonomy Regulation, Sustainable aviation, Standards, Hydrogen, Horizon Europe, Energy Efficiency Directive, Green Deal Industrial Plan, Net Zero Industry Act, Electricity Market Design, Critical Raw Materials Act.
Communication Activities
Bilateral meetings with the DGs research, energy, move, industry, and climate staff, and respective cabinets, on issues related to research and innovation, with a particular focus on climate and energy-related innovation support programs, and Green Deal policy files. Regular briefings and newsletters with updates about cleantech investments and EU policy & regulation. Attendance of meetings and conferences. Position papers and reports on EU policy & regulation on cleantech. Hosting events such as the Cleantech for Europe Summit (https://www.cleantechforeurope.com/summit-2024). Collaboration with newspaper and broadcast media, in particular with op-eds and interviews from our members picked up by pan-EU and national media. Daily activities on social media (Linkedin, Twitter and Bluesky).
