Mission & Goals
CLASP improves the energy and environmental performance of the appliances & equipment we use every day, accelerating our transition to a more sustainable world.
EU Legislative Interests
CLASP works to support activities under the Ecodesign Directive, the Energy Labelling Directive, the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive and the Sustainable Product Initiative. CLASP also works to support the other instruments of the Fit for 55 package and in particular the Energy Efficiency Directive and the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive.
Communication Activities
CLASP works to support evidence-based policy-making by the European Commission through our efforts including the preparation of product databases, market and technology studies, and development of test methods and testing of products. CLASP also researches and prepares comments on the draft analysis and publications issued by the Commission on topics related to our areas of expertise.
