Mission & Goals

Clarity promotes plain legal language throughout the world by educating its members and the public about the benefits of plain language, techniques to accomplish it, and research that supports it. One of the main benefits of plain legal language is charitable: it ensures access to those who would otherwise be denied their rights and opportunities: access to justice, housing, financial opportunities, healthcare, and more. Clarity accomplishes these goals through its international journal, conferences, and other interactions with members and the public.
