Mission & Goals
The main goal of CSF is to build a vibrant and vocal civil society capable of holding government accountable to its citizens, drive forward important reforms in the fields of human rights protection, rule of law and good governance, enhance citizens’ participation in governance and decision-making, bolster independent journalism and give voice to minorities and vulnerable groups. Through grant-making and partnership projects funded from its national and international programs, the Foundation empowers civic organizations, civil rights activists, and initiative groups to promote the democratic reform process. The main objectives of the European integration program of CSF are: monitoring of the fulfillment of obligations to the European Union and engagement in the process of planning and implementing reforms; supporting initiatives that contribute to the process of EU integration, broad public involvement in it, and increasing awareness.
