Mission & Goals
Civic Radauti Association was founded in September 2018, in Rădăuţi Municipality, Suceava County, the second largest municipality in Suceava County, Northern Romania. Previously, since June 2017, a civic initiative group of the same name was established with the mission of developing active citizenship in local communities, promoting civic involvement and volunteering, and ensuring good governance. The association's activity is unique at the county and even regional level, carried out in a non-partisan and innovative approach. The association promotes volunteerism, good governance, integrity in public functions, transparency in spending public resources and, ultimately, the assumption of an active role by each member of the community. Civic Radauti had a crucial role in the region in the humanitarian relief efforts and its activity in the civic sector has been nationally recognized, winning 5 years in a row awards at the National Public Participation Gala.
EU Legislative Interests
Youth Policies. Transparency and Good Governance Policies. Fundamental Rights Policies. Some of the specific policies that are in our area of interest are: - the implementation of EU Youth Strategy - the „Defence of Democracy” Package - the anti-SLAPP Directive and its transposition - tbe European Democracy Shield (EDS), published by the European Commission in November 2025
