CIVIC ASSOCIATION "CAROMA NORD"

Mission & Goals

The Public Association "Caroma Nord" is a non-governmental, non-political and independent organization, established in February 2002. The association's mission is to promote and facilitate citizen participation at the local level and contribute to the development of a civil society based on active citizenship. The main areas of activity of the "Caroma Nord" Association are ecology and environmental protection, education and training, human development and social integration, and human rights. Over the past 23 years of activity, with the support of several donors and funders, "Caroma Nord" has implemented numerous projects in over 65 localities across the Republic of Moldova. In our projects, we employ innovative participation methods and involve local authorities, citizens, the business sector, journalists, and the academic community, who come together to discuss and make joint decisions on community issues.
