Mission & Goals
CIRFS: European Man-Made Fibres Association is the representative body for the European man-made fibres industry.
EU Legislative Interests
CIRFS monitors economic developments which affect the man-made fibres industry, including developments in international trade and the internal European market. It provides information and guidance to members on the possible effects, and prepares papers for use in contacts with the European Union and national governments. CIRFS is also monitoring all legislatives proposals and policies regarding the Circular Economy, Green Deal, ETS and REACH. EU strategy for sustainable textiles, REACH, Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM),Electricity Market Design, The Green Deal Industrial Plan, Textiles Ecosystem Transition Pathway, Taxonomy, Ecodesign for sustainable products and regulations, Waste Framework Directive, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), End of waste criteria, Ecolabel, Substantiating Green Claims, Unintentional Microplastics, ReHubs, FTAs, Trade Defense Instruments, Marine Litter: Unintentional Microplastics Release
