Mission & Goals
El Círculo de Empresarios es un centro de pensamiento y de debate al servicio de la sociedad española en su conjunto creado en 1977. Tiene como principales objetivos la promoción del libre mercado y de la libre empresa, el reconocimiento del valor social del empresario como creador de empleo, riqueza y bienestar general y el fomento del espíritu emprendedor. Realiza sus propuestas a través de documentos, tomas de posición y diferentes tipos de publicaciones. Desarrolla, además, programas de cooperación con la sociedad en ámbitos como la Universidad o las instituciones del Estado.
EU Legislative Interests
The focus of Círculo de Empresarios has traditionally been on Spanish public policy, although on several occasions it has analyzed European Union challenges and policies. Among these, we have taken positions regarding: The proposals included in the Draghi Report on the future of European Competitiveness. The need to reform the Spanish education system to bring it in line with the EU. The review of EU fiscal rules and the Growth and Stability Pact. The energy transition, including with reports: On the EU's overall energy transition strategy, European Green Deal and Electricity Market Reform (November 2023) Clean Industrial Plan (January 2025) European ESG reporting rules (CSRD, CSDDD)
