Mission & Goals

By 2030, Circle U. is a research-intensive and interdisciplinary alliance working to provide outstanding education, research and innovation to contribute to more sustainable, democratic and healthier societies. Students, staff and partners from civil society, businesses and the public sector collaborate to jointly develop competencies and solutions for keeping Europe and our planet healthy, peaceful, democratic and prosperous. Our Alliance consists of nine equally-committed universities with a shared dedication to Circle U.’s long-term transformational processes and future: - Aarhus Universitet (Denmark), - Univerzitet u Beogradu (Serbia), - Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (Germany), - King’s College London (United Kingdom), - UCLouvain (Belgium), - Universitetet i Oslo (Norway), - Université Paris Cité (France), - Università di Pisa (Italy) and - Universität Wien (Austria).

Circle U. AISBL is not formally member of any association, networks or other organisation. However, our member universities are themseves members of associations, networks or other associations, for example The Guild of European research-intensive universities, the Coimbra Group, UNICA, CESAER, EUA, IAU, CENTRAL, etc. Circle U. AISBL is leading a Work Package on policy dialogue in the framework of the Erasmus+ project, FOREU4ALL.
