Mission & Goals
The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) is an independent philanthropic foundation headquartered in London and registered as a UK charity. Founded in 2002, CIFF works to improve the lives of children living in poverty in developing countries, with a strong emphasis on measurable impact and sustainable solutions. CIFF’s main goals are to transform outcomes in the following areas: • Child health and development • Climate change mitigation and resilience • Sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) • Adolescent girls' agency and education (“Girl Capital”) • Child protection and safety CIFF supports evidence-based programmes, advocacy, and policy engagement aimed at systemic change. https://ciff.org/about-us/
EU Legislative Interests
CIFF’s engagement with EU institutions is not linked to specific legislative proposals. We contribute to shaping EU actions in areas such as global health, climate action and child protection by engaging with relevant Commission’s DGs. We may also contribute to public consultations or policy dialogues relevant to our mission areas. CIFF has engaged with the following EU bodies and initiatives: • DG CLIMA • DG ENER • EEAS • ITPA • Clean Industrial Deal • Clean Trade and Investment Partnerships (CTIPs) • EU Climate Law

CIFF does not operate with a traditional membership structure and is governed by a Board of Trustees. It does not have members in the sense typically applicable to associations or networks. Given CIFF's structure as a charity and company limited by guarantee, CIFF does not have shareholders.
