Mission & Goals
Child Helpline International (CHI) is a foundation (“Stichting”) registered in the Netherlands, which brings together 150 child helplines across 130 countries around the world. Founded in 2003, our vision is to create a world where the voices of children and young people are heard and taken into account, and their rights are respected. As a global network, we aim to: - Expand the reach and strengthen the capacity and quality of child helplines to ensure access to a high-quality child helpline for all children and young people - Strengthen the network of child helplines to respond to increased digitalisation of society - Enhance reliable and detailed child helpline data collection on the voices and lived experiences of children and young people to inform policy and practice - Enhance recognition and integration of child helplines and children’s voices in child rights and child protection policy and practice
