EU Legislative Interests

Our interest representation activities target specific European Union legislative proposals and policies that directly impact our areas of production and technological development. Below are the titles of the EU legislative initiatives in which we plan to actively participate and engage in dialogue: Industrial Emissions Directive - this policy has a direct impact on the emissions requirements for our production facilities (ammonia, methanol, syngas), necessitating continuous analysis and adaptation of our technological processes. Regulation on the Decarbonisation of Gas Markets - as we are involved in syngas production and technologies that may relate to the transition to hydrogen or other low-carbon gases, this regulation is critically important for our strategy. Renewable Energy Directive III (RED III) - this directive influences the use of renewable energy in industrial processes and can stimulate the development of new production methods, such as "green" ammonia or methanol. We are actively interested in expanding our involvement in these EU legislative initiatives. As of today, we are already actively participating in the "Grants & Tenders" section of the European Commission, which demonstrates our commitment to cooperation and contribution to the development of innovative solutions.

Communication Activities

Our experts participate in relevant technical and advisory groups organized by the European Commission. For example, we contribute to discussions concerning initiatives on the decarbonisation of gas markets or sustainable product manufacturing, sharing our knowledge and helping to develop well-informed policies.

Additional Information

Currently, we have not yet allocated a separate budget specifically for interest representation activities with EU institutions. All expenses related to these activities have thus far been covered from our organization's general operating budget. This means that no special funds or grants have been secured specifically for lobbying efforts. However, we recognize the growing importance of effective engagement with European legislative bodies. Therefore, for the upcoming financial year, we plan to allocate a dedicated budget to support and expand our interest representation activities. This will allow us to approach this area more systematically, secure necessary resources, and enhance the effectiveness of our communication with EU institutions.
