Mission & Goals
According to the Charter, the main purpose of the Organization's activity is to carry out, conduct, and support charitable activities in the interests of society by providing assistance and promoting the legitimate interests of beneficiaries in the areas of charitable work, as well as implementing comprehensive projects for the prevention and control of the spread of infectious and non-communicable diseases of social significance, including HIV/AIDS and other diseases both in Ukraine and in countries beyond its borders (including in the region of Eastern Europe and Central Asia). This also includes facilitating access to quality and affordable prevention, diagnosis, and treatment services for HIV infection, and implementing other charitable programs and public health initiatives. The objectives of the Organization, in accordance with its Charter, include conducting charitable activities and providing charitable assistance.
EU Legislative Interests
Our organization, 100% LIFE, is a charitable patient-led NGO that works to improve access to quality healthcare and essential medicines, including HIV/AIDS and other socially significant diseases, with over 15 years of experience in Ukraine. We are interested in activities related to the harmonization of Ukrainian pharmaceutical legislation and practices with EU standards, as part of broader efforts to facilitate the integration of Ukrainian pharmaceutical manufacturers into the European market. Specifically, our interest representation activities concern: EU pharmaceutical legislation, including regulatory alignment with: Directive 2001/83/EC on the Community code relating to medicinal products for human use; Regulation (EU) 2017/745 on medical devices; Regulation (EU) 2019/6 on veterinary medicinal products (where relevant to general GMP compliance and regulatory practice); Emergency preparedness legislation, including alignment with the objectives of the Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (HERA) and ensuring supply chain resilience across Europe; EU Enlargement and Eastern Partnership policy, especially in the context of pre-accession support for legal and market harmonization in the health and pharmaceutical sectors. We seek to engage in policy discussions that support: Mutual recognition of GMP certification between Ukraine and EU Member States; Enabling the production of quality-assured generic medicines in Ukraine for EU supply; Removing regulatory and legal barriers to the inclusion of Ukrainian pharmaceutical products in the European market.
