Mission & Goals

Challenger Research is a strategic intelligence and risk advisory firm operating at the intersection of security, technology, resources, and policy. We integrate intelligence across space systems, uncrewed platforms, climate and environmental risk, and critical mineral supply chains to identify strategic exposure and dependencies. Our objective is to provide independent analysis that supports decision-makers in navigating the convergence of technology, governance, and geopolitics.

EU Legislative Interests

1. Ukraine Facility (Regulation (EU) 2024/792): Strategic analysis of the "Ukraine Plan" (Pillar I) and the "Ukraine Investment Framework" (Pillar II), specifically regarding risk management in reconstruction projects and the integration of critical infrastructure resilience into recovery funding. 2. EU Space Strategy for Security and Defence: Insights into "Autonomous Access to Space" (launch resilience) and the upcoming "EU Space Law" (EUSL) regarding space traffic management, orbital safety, and the protection of space-based assets. 3. European Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA): Assessment of supply chain vulnerabilities for strategic technologies (defence, space, clean tech) and the diversification of sourcing for materials critical to the green and digital transitions. 4. Net-Zero Industry Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1735): Evaluation of investment risks and supply chain dependencies for "strategic net-zero technologies" (including carbon capture and energy storage) essential for meeting EU climate targets. 5. Counter-UAS and Critical Infrastructure Protection: Analysis of the "Drone Strategy 2.0" and the "CER Directive" (Resilience of Critical Entities) regarding the protection of airports and public spaces from non-cooperative UAS threats.
