Mission & Goals

With a vision of 'powering global zero emission mobility for the happiness of future generations,' and a mission of 'bringing safe, affordable, and interoperable charging to EV drivers,' CHAdeMO Association develops CHAdeMO DC charging protocols (IEC/EN standards). Established in 2010, it has over 500 member organisations from 45 countries, including vehicle manufacturers, utilities, vehicle parts, chargers and component manufacturers, supporting businesses, research institutions, etc. Our goals under the Transparency Register are: 1 To inform EV* users and industry stakeholders in Europe of the CHAdeMO Protocols and their advantages (*including electric vehicles, e-motorcycles, e-bikes); 2 To improve charger availability and reliability for EV users' convenience; 3 To share learnings from EV bi-directional charging (V2G) and vehicle-grid-integration (VGI) projects to help accelerate EV adoption and VGI in Europe and elsewhere.
