- promote the interests of the manufacturers of steel wire and steel wire products in Europe. - exchange market research information on steel wire and steel wire products. - safeguard common interests vis-à-vis national governments and the European Commission as well as other political and non-political institutions. - represent its members to the scientific and technical organizations which deal directly or indirectly with problems relating to wire and wire products. -discuss questions of overall interest to the whole steel wire industry
