Mission & Goals
The Center for Adaptive Security Research and Applications (CASRA) is the leading organization for security research and applications with the objective to strengthen security and increase facilitation in X-ray screening. All our software, methods, and procedures are based on scientific research and are constantly improved through close collaboration with government organizations, research institutes and end users. CASRA’s software and applications are installed in over 50 countries and at more than 900 airports around the world. Our computer-based training and assessment platform, X-Ray Tutor 4 (XRT4), is the result of studies and scientific investigations carried out over decades with the focus on the psychological and cognitive abilities of the human operator who analyzes X-ray images.
EU Legislative Interests
As a research center are main interest is in the domain of R&D funding opportunity such as, the Horizon Europe prograame and also the Eurostars programme for innovation As developers of training program for in X-ray screening we are interested in the Customs Competency Framework (CustCompeu) and in the Customs Control Equipment Instrument (CCEI)
