Mission & Goals
The goals of the CTI – Center for Technological Innovation – are to foster cutting-edge research, support high-impact startups, and accelerate the adoption of emerging technologies in the region. CTI aims to become a leading hub for innovation by offering advanced labs, mentorship, and funding access to innovators in AI, robotics, UAVs, and sustainable technologies. It seeks to bridge academia, industry, and government to drive economic growth, talent development, and global competitiveness. By nurturing entrepreneurial ecosystems and promoting digital and green transitions, CTI strives to empower local communities, attract international collaboration, and position Bosnia and Herzegovina as a dynamic force in technological advancement.
EU Legislative Interests
Main EU legislative proposals or policies targeted: Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation laying down harmonised rules on artificial intelligence) – CTI supports the development and deployment of trustworthy AI and works to align research and innovation with this upcoming EU regulation. European Chips Act (Proposal for a Regulation on establishing a framework of measures for strengthening Europe's semiconductor ecosystem) – CTI aims to contribute to regional capacity in hardware and semiconductor-related innovation. Digital Services Act (Regulation on a Single Market for Digital Services) – CTI promotes digital entrepreneurship and startup development in compliance with this regulation's provisions. Green Deal Industrial Plan (Communication from the Commission for a Net-Zero Industry) – CTI supports green innovation and climate-neutral industrial solutions, particularly through support for clean tech startups and sustainable R&D. Horizon Europe Framework Programme (Regulation establishing Horizon Europe) – CTI aligns with Horizon Europe’s objectives by fostering cross-disciplinary innovation, technology transfer, and R&D collaboration. Data Governance Act (Regulation on European data governance) – CTI promotes responsible data management and sharing practices across innovation ecosystems.
Communication Activities
We have not yet engaged in direct outreach or communication with EU institutions regarding the listed legislative proposals. However, as a newly established center, the CTI – Center for Technological Innovation – plans to develop future communication channels and cooperation with relevant EU bodies and stakeholders. Our goal is to contribute to policy discussions and align our activities with EU priorities in the fields of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, sustainable industry, and research and innovation.
