Mission & Goals
CDC Biodiversité, filiale de la Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, œuvre pour la préservation et la restauration de la biodiversité tout en conciliant développement économique et intérêt général. Grâce à son expertise écologique, foncière et financière, elle mène des actions de renaturation et de gestion durable d’espaces naturels, en s’appuyant sur un comité scientifique de chercheur.e.s en écologie et économie. Elle coordonne des projets collectifs d’adaptation des territoires au changement climatique via le Programme Nature 2050 et pilote la Mission Économie de la Biodiversité, laboratoire d’innovations sur la biodiversité en France et à l’international. CDC Biodiversité a développé le Global Biodiversity Score (GBS), outil permettant aux entreprises, institutions financières et collectivités locales d’évaluer leurs impacts et dépendances à la biodiversité. Le Club associé vise à accompagner ses membres dans la compréhension de la mesure d’empreinte et son intégration stratégique.
EU Legislative Interests
Au niveau européen, CDC Biodiversité promeut les concepts liés à la mesure, la protection et la restauration de la biodiversité. CDC Biodiversité intervient auprès de nombreux acteurs européens privés pour les accompagner dans la mesure de leur empreinte biodiversité et leur réponse au Cadre Mondial pour la Biodiversité de Kunming-Montréal. CDC Biodiversité promeut la convergence à l’échelle européenne des approches de mesure de la biodiversité pour faire émerger une vision collective et souveraine de ces enjeux. A ces fins, sont ciblées : - Nature Restoration Regulation ; - Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) ; - Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) ; - Framework for the creation of the EU Taxonomy of environmentally sustainable economic activities ; - Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) ; - EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030. CDC Biodiversité déploie des pilotes de Sites Naturels de Compensation, de Restauration et de Renaturation (SNCRR), constituant la réponse française au cadre international des crédits biodiversité à haute intégrité de l’International Advisory Panel on Biodiversity Credits (IAPB). CDC Biodiversité promeut ainsi un cadre ambitieux pour le déploiement de crédits biodiversité en Europe. A ce titre, est ciblée la Communication from the Commission on the Roadmap towards Nature Credits.
Communication Activities
CDC Biodiversité mène des activités d’information et de communication relatives aux politiques européennes en matière de biodiversité. Celles-ci comprennent notamment : la participation à des consultations publiques, la publication de prises de position, ainsi que la diffusion de rapports d’analyse portant sur des cadres réglementaires européens ou des sujets techniques comme les crédits biodiversité.
