Mission & Goals

The CCAM Association, founded in 2021, is an international not-for-profit organization representing the CCAM Partnership. With 230 innovation stakeholders from various sectors, including industry, research, services, public and local authorities, associations, and SMEs, our primary goal is to accelerate the development and real-life deployment of connected, cooperative, and automated mobility (CCAM) technologies. Our objectives include enhancing road safety and efficiency through innovative solutions, fostering inclusiveness to ensure mobility benefits for all, and addressing environmental sustainability and climate change challenges. We aim to position Europe as a global leader in CCAM technologies by driving innovation and competitiveness. Our remit is to unite all relevant stakeholders, ensuring successful technological advancements and the widespread implementation of CCAM technologies across Europe.

EU Legislative Interests

Communication Activities

The CCAM Association has conducted a variety of communication activities to promote and support key EU policies and legislative proposals. These activities aim to raise awareness, foster collaboration, and drive the adoption of connected, cooperative, and automated mobility (CCAM) technologies. Key communication efforts include: Events and conferences: European Conference on Connected and Automated Driving EUCAD - EUCAD is the only conference in Europe that brings together political leaders from the European Commission and Member States with European and international high level representatives of industry, academia and road authorities to discuss if technology and society are ready for the large-scale deployment of smart, sustainable and inclusive mobility solutions. Internal workshops: Regularly held on topics such as Horizon Europe Work Programme, providing a platform for knowledge exchange and policy discussion. Online presence: Website: Regular updates on CCAM's contributions to EU policies, featuring articles, case studies, and news on recent developments. Social media campaigns: Active engagement on platforms like LinkedIn and X (Twitter), sharing updates, event information, and policy-related content. Newsletters: Regular newsletters distributed to members and quarterly newsletter for other stakeholders, providing updates on projects, events, and policy discussions. Collaborative initiatives: Joint Declarations : Collaborative efforts with other industry and research organizations to advocate for supportive regulatory frameworks and increased funding for CCAM initiatives. Participation in EU consultations: Active contribution to public consultations on policies like the European Green Deal and the Urban Mobility Framework.
