As a responsible corporate citizen, Caterpillar participates in the public policy process, advocating for a broad range of issues that advance Caterpillar’s strategy and purpose while providing value to shareholders and other stakeholders. Caterpillar's EU Government Affairs and business leaders engage with policy makers in the European Union on key priorities to execute our corporate strategy. Caterpillar supports the activities of its trade and industry associations: leadership roles; positioning; participation in meetings; outreach to policymakers. Caterpillar occasionally participates in business delegations (such as EP plenary in Strasbourg; countries holding the EU presidency) organised by its trade and industry associations. Caterpillar occasionally provides speakers on our key issues in events or conferences. Caterpillar occasionally co-sponsors events or conferences.

Caterpillar also engages with the Committee for European Construction Equipment (CECE) through our memberships in national associations.
