Mission & Goals

Caritas Slovakia is part of the European and global community of charities - Caritas Internationalis. This affiliation enables Caritas Slovakia to maintain a global connection, ensuring coordination and collaboration with charitable organizations worldwide. The network of Caritas´ Slovakia provides a wide range of services and implements diverse activities and programmes in Slovakia and abroad. It is currently the largest non-public provider of social services in Slovakia, providing outreach, outpatient and residential services to a variety of target groups. The target groups of Caritas Slovakia are mainly vulnerable groups - children, the elderly and terminally ill, people with health disadvantages, individuals, single-parent or large families who for various reasons find themselves in crisis life situation, facing poverty or social exclusion. The charity has also long helped victims of human trafficking, people from marginalised Roma communities, homeless people, etc.
