Mission & Goals
BPW Europe is part of BPW International, which was founded in 1930 in Geneva by Lena Madisen Philips. It has grown to an international network of 30000 members in 114 countries, that distribute themselves in 5 regions: North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific. Europe is the biggest Region with 18,000 members in 30 countries. The main aim is to develop the professional, leadership and business potential of women at all levels through advocacy, mentoring, networking, skill building and our economic empowerment programs and projects in Europe and around the world. BPW Affiliates contribute to society by enabling women to sustain themselves economically. BPW offers personal development programs for members such as mentoring, leadership training and e-Business training. Since 1996, BPW affiliates worldwide have helped over 45,000 women to become economically empowered.

(Austria Bulgaria Croatia Germany Hungary Moldova Romania Serbia Slovakia Ukraine are part of this network). - Preparation Equal Pay Day 2025 BPW Europe Report OTHER EU NETWORK: BPW Europe is a founder Member and current Member of EWL - European Woman Lobby. BPW Europe is member of the European Women Lobby, part of EuroGender Network of the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE), EC Digital skills and jobs Coalition, Partner of the European Parliament Election Campaign and cooperate with WE Gate. BPW Europe has been awarded an honorary mention by UN WOMEN in the 2020 G7 – EU WEPs Award competition in the following category: Best Network. (Women’s Empowerment Principles) BPW Europe has been awarded from the European Parliament, in the person of the Regional Coordinator Giuseppa (Pinella) Bombaci ,with the Citizen Prize Award2020, for the Project "New Charter of the Girl's Rights".
