Mission & Goals

The purposes of the Bürgerbewegung Finanzwende e. V. association are the general promotion of democratic government, the promotion of science and research, environmental protection, the promotion of education, the promotion of consumer advice and consumer protection, the promotion of crime prevention and the promotion of civic engagement for the aforementioned purposes. The association Bürgerbewegung Finanzwende e. V. is committed to sustainable finance and a financial policy committed to the common good, not only in Germany but also in Europe and worldwide. The association therefore sees itself as a counterweight to the financial lobby.

Finanzwende Recherche gGmbH (https://www.finanzwende-recherche.de/) is Bürgerbewegung Finanzwende e. V.`s wholly owned subsidiary. The Association has ordinary members and supporting members. Ordinary members are those who devote themselves to the work of the Association. Supporting members contribute to the achievement of the Association's purpose primarily through financial contributions. Most members are natural persons. Institutional ordinary members include the German Trade Union Confederation (Deutscher Gewerkschaftsbund), Facing Financ e. V., Monneta gGmbH and SÜDWIND e.V. - Institute for Economics and Ecumenism, Hamburger Stiftung für Wirtschaftsethik.
