Mission & Goals
The purpose of the association is to promote the education and training of pharmacy students. It advocates for the student and social interests of pharmacy students in Germany and for a continuous improvement of the pharmacy program. The association supports the work of its members and the realization of student participation at universities. It represents its members to all natural and legal persons who are relevant for the preservation of interests, especially university and professional political committees and bodies. The association also advocates for the promotion of communication, coordination, and collaboration among pharmacy students in international contexts.
EU Legislative Interests
BPhD e. V. gives a statement in EU have your say on the EU Directive 2005/36/EC. BPhD calls for Article 44 § 3 to be extended to include pharmacists ability to carry out scientific work. BPhD also proposes that Article 44 be expanded to include a scientific paper as part of the pharmacy degree programme. Concerning the EU Directive 2001/83/EC the BPhD e.V. calls for the withdrawal of the status of medicinal product for homeopathic products. BPhD gives a statement in EU have your say on the EU Cardiovascular Health Plan.
Communication Activities
BPhD e. V. gives a statement in EU have your say on the EU Directive 2005/36/EC and published a statement in national newspapers. Concerning the EU Directive 2001/83/EC, the BPhD e.V. published a position paper, a press release, as well as a newspaper column on the topic of homeopathy.
