Mission & Goals
The British Irish Chamber of Commerce facilitates trade, business, and investment between the United Kingdom and Ireland, promoting collaboration and partnership among businesses in both countries. It works to strengthen economic ties, advocate for policies that benefit bilateral trade, and provide a platform for networking and knowledge exchange between companies across various sectors.
EU Legislative Interests
The Chamber is concerned with customs procedures, regulatory alignment, and market access on a two-way basis post Brexit. This includes smooth trade relations between the UK and the EU, ensuring regulatory coherence, and fostering a favourable business environment for cross-border commerce. Additionally, issues such as taxation, data protection, and workforce mobility also concern our members.
Communication Activities
We often hold events to highlight areas where closer cooperation could be possible, such as the signing of a Veterinary Agreement between the EU and the UK. On the back of member inputs, we frequently publish papers on trade.
