Mission & Goals
Bris is a child rights organization (NGO). All activities are based on the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Bris operates Sweden's National Child Helpline 116 111.
EU Legislative Interests
We are monitoring legislation that directly and indirectly affects children's rights and childrens living conditions. We particularly focus on legislation related to economic vulnerability, the child as a rights holder, child friendly justice, the Digital Services Act (DSA), and the AI Act. In addition, we track and follow up on the children’s rights strategy and the EU Child Guarantee.
Communication Activities
At a national level we are working with communication aimed at both children and adults related to legislation and other political decisions originating from the EU. In connection with the EU elections 2024 we developed targeted communication for children on our social media channels. We also help organize seminars and roundtable discussions at the EU level on issues concerning children's rights.
