bp's purpose is to deliver the energy to the world, today and tomorrow. As an integrated energy company (IEC) we are one of only a few companies globally that can deliver - at scale - energy and lower carbon products to countries, companies and our customers. bp’s portfolio is predominantly oil and gas and we continue to invest in this core business. But the past five years have also seen us build strong positions in lower carbon energies. Using our skills, track record and partnerships, we are positioning bp for success in the changing energy system. This is a clear and simple strategy that we believe will win over a pure oil and gas strategy or a pure play low carbon strategy. We have focused our sustainability aims on five most relevant to the long - term success of our businesses and net zero ambition - including lowering operational emissions by 45-50% by 2030. www.bp.com
