Mission & Goals
Aircraft Leasing
EU Legislative Interests
As an international aircraft lessor with a presence in Ireland, our organisation monitors EU legislative and policy developments that may have a material impact on the aircraft leasing industry. While we are not currently engaged in direct advocacy activities, we would like to retain the ability to provide feedback or engage in dialogue with EU institutions or relevant stakeholders should the need arise. In particular, we are interested in the following areas relevant to our industry: • Sanctions-related regulations and directives, especially those relating to restrictions on leasing or exporting aircraft, insurance recoveries and prohibitions on the provision of technical or financial services. This includes ongoing developments under Council Regulations (EU) No 269/2014 and 833/2014, as well as related implementing decisions. • Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) regulations, with a focus on initiatives affecting aircraft emissions, carbon reporting, sustainable finance (e.g., the EU Taxonomy Regulation), and corporate disclosure requirements under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). As ESG-related compliance expectations grow, we are interested in understanding and potentially contributing to how such rules apply in the context of aircraft leasing. • Consistent with our focus on ESG matters, employment matters are of interest to us as an organisation with operations in Ireland. • Tariff policies and trade-related measures, particularly those that may impact the cross-border movement of aircraft, aviation parts, or related services. We monitor developments related to customs duties, import restrictions, and trade retaliation measures that could affect leasing operations across the EU and other applicable jurisdictions

Additional Information
Our organisation does not currently engage in any direct interest representation activities towards the EU institutions. However, to ensure transparency and in view of the possibility that such engagement may occur in the future, we have declared a forward-looking estimate based on potential internal resource allocation. If such activities become necessary, they are expected to involve up to 1.25 FTEs (please see above Response 10). The estimated annual cost related to these potential activities, including staff time, travel, and office expenses, is selected above.
