EU Legislative Interests

In partnership with the Embassy of Denmark in Belgium, Board Network is proud to bring a high-level delegation of Danish business leaders to Brussels in November 2025. Led by former minister of foreign affairs in Denmark, Jeppe Kofod, the delegation brings together senior board members and executives to meet directly with key policymakers, diplomats, and thought leaders at the heart of European decision-making. The visit takes place against the backdrop of a shifting geopolitical and economic order, where Europe’s role in global security, regulation, and economic stability is more critical than ever. For boards and executives, the European Union has become a decisive arena influencing corporate strategy, investment, and competitiveness. In Brussels, participants will engage with leaders from the European Commission, the European Parliament, the European Council, and the European Court of Justice, as well as with senior executives from NATO, private enterprise and leading geopolitical analysts. Through high-level meetings, policy briefings, and interactive discussions spanning politics, diplomacy, security, and business, they will gain exclusive access and actionable insight into Europe’s strategic trajectory. The purpose of the Brussels delegation is therefore not to influence any particular area of policy or politics, but merely to strengthen participants’ ability to make informed, forward-looking decisions for their own businesses by deepening their understanding of the geopolitical forces shaping governance and business in Europe. It seeks to broaden their strategic perspective, enhance resilience and adaptability as leaders, and help translate geopolitical awareness into responsible, long-term decision-making. Ultimately, the programme aims to equip participants to act as European leaders in an increasingly politicised global environment — identifying the right opportunities for their organisations and for Europe as a whole.

In addition we have strategic partnerships with Admincontrol, AON, Case Rose InterSearch, Computershare, Gorrissen Federspiel, KPMG, Mannov, Microsoft and SQN. Our affiliation is not to promote their company or specific agenda but to engage in value-adding activities together on the subject of corporate governance and board leadership. Board Network does not take part in policy influencing activities. The planned delegation trip is thus not going to Bruxelles/Luxembourg to advance any particular corporate matter, personal agenda or polical idea - but is instead put together to learn more about the EU, its institutions, its processes, and the future as it looks from the view of the individual speaker that we'll meet.
