EU Legislative Interests
The main EU initiatives that we follow are related to the Single Market of Green Products Environmental Footprint Category Rules development (PEFCR). We were involved in the pilot Phase and now in the transition phase. Our aim is to support the development of sound environmental footprinting methodology, tools and data, with a focus on the agri-food value chain. Blonk is also involved in the following working groups related to PEF: TAB, AWG and the DWG.
Communication Activities
Participation in the technical advisory board and working groups of the Environmental Footprint project (PEF/OEF) of the Single Market of Green Products. In the same context * Execution of database development projects * Execution of remodeling project * Development with industries of product environmental footprint category rules. (recently with 1. Feed with fefac; 2. Beer with Brewers of Europe and 3. Red Meat with UECBV and now flowers and potting plants) and supporting them in the Steering Committee meetings * Partial revision of PEFCRs for beer, feed, pet food and dairy products.
