Mission & Goals
Biomedical Alliance in Europe (BioMed Alliance) is a unique initiative of 35 leading European medical societies uniting more than 400,000 researchers and health professionals. The BioMed Alliance was created in 2010 to gather strength across different disciplines and areas in biomedical and health research to address common issues at European level. The BioMed Alliance is committed to promoting excellence in European biomedical research and innovation with the goal of improving the health and well-being of all European citizens. BioMed Alliance aims: To provide a network for our members to speak with a unified voice and interact with EU policy makers on key topics for European biomedical and health research and on matters relevant for our members. Communication Activities
The BioMed Alliance has addressed important issues for biomedical and health research in the EU such as: changes to the EU research budget, implementation of legislative dossiers and European Citizens’ Initiatives that could hamper research. Policy, strategy and activities are annually discussed during the Spring meeting and the General Assembly.
