Mission & Goals
Latvijas Mazpulki ir lielākā bērnu un jauniešu organizācija Latvijā. Tā ir vieta izaugsmei. Sniedzot aizraujošu un pozitīvu pieredzi, mēs attīstām līderību, brīvprātīgo darbu, uzņēmību un sadarbības prasmes un sniedzam ieguldījumu vietējās kopienas attīstībā. Esam daļa no pasaules mazpulku jeb 4H organizāciju saimes un darbojamies saskaņā ar vienotiem darbības principiem un kopējām vērtībām – ass prāts, laba sirds, čaklas rokas, stipra veselība. Uzsākot 2025. gadu, biedrībā aktīvi darbojas 1 176 mazpulcēni un 64 mazpulki, kas pārstāvēti visos Latvijas plānošanas reģionos. Biedrības mērķi ir veicināt pilnvērtīgu personības attīstību, palīdzot bērniem un jauniešiem sagatavoties patstāvīgai darba dzīvei un integrācijai strauji mainīgā sabiedrībā; iesaistīt bērnus un jauniešus harmoniskas, sakoptas vides veidošanā un līdzsvarotas attīstības veicināšanā savā pagastā, pilsētā, valstī; veicināt jauniešu iniciatīvu un līdzdalību lēmumu pieņemšanā un sabiedriskajā dzīvē.
EU Legislative Interests
For Latvijas Mazpulki / Latvian 4H, the main legislative and policy focus areas relate to youth, rural development, civic participation, education, farming, and sustainability. While we are not engaged in continuous EU-level advocacy, we actively identify moments and opportunities to contribute with insights and recommendations on relevant policy processes, particularly those connected to: ● Erasmus+ Regulation ● EU Youth Strategy ● Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) ● European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Cohesion Fund Regulations ● LEADER / CLLD Framework (under the CAP and Cohesion Policy) ● EU Youth Test implementation ● EU Youth Guarantee Through these policy areas, Latvijas Mazpulki aims to strengthen the voice of rural youth in Europe, promote equal opportunities for young people in rural regions, and support the creation of sustainable, inclusive, and future-oriented rural communities.
Communication Activities
Latvijas Mazpulki / Latvian 4H communicates EU policy priorities and insights through a variety of practical and educational activities. These include youth seminars on EU values and programmes, the annual youth forum, and international initiatives within Rural Youth Europe, all of which integrate EU policy themes and promote active citizenship among young people. In addition, our social media channels regularly feature updates and reflections from EU-related policy events, conferences, and advocacy activities in which we participate. Policy perspectives are also incorporated into our national newspaper “Latvijas Mazpulki”, published several times a year, reaching members, educators, and rural stakeholders across the country. As the leading rural youth organisation in Latvia, our communication efforts effectively reach children and young people, rural communities, farmers, and teachers throughout Latvia, strengthening awareness of EU policies and opportunities at the grassroots level.
