Mission & Goals
The Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) is an independent think-tank that contributes to advancing the security of people in line with democratic principles and respect for human rights through research, public advocacy, community development and education. Since 1997, it has monitored the work of Serbian security institutions and their oversight bodies, and since 2013 also within the EU integration process of Serbia. It is one of the founders of the National Convention on the European Union, where it coordinates the Working Group for Chapter 24, and the prEUgovor coalition monitoring Rule of Law reforms in Serbia. It is organiser of the annual Belgrade Security Conference. The organisation's program has three pillars: accountability of the security sector in Serbia, democratisation of the foreign policy of Serbia, and building resilience against security challenges, risks and threats (such as extremism and organised crime).
